Panoramic map illustration (also known as illustrated maps, pictorial maps, perspective maps, and bird’s-eye view maps) depict a given territory with a more artistic rather than technical style. It is a type of map in contrast to road maps, atlas, or topographic maps.
The panoramic map is a popular illustrated form used to depict cities and towns and any other exiting territories filled with historical and cultural landmarks. Although not generally drawn to scale, they show street greeds, the most interesting buildings, and major landscape features in perspective from an elevated point of view.
